Building Team

Over 2 years in the making, the Possible Dream is becoming a reality. An intense needs assessment was done by a Church Committee to find out what we needed as a Church and what we would like. From that point a Building Committee was formed to review and prioritize the needs and wants. Over the next few months the Building Committee met. During this past year they narrowed down the list of what was important for the Church.

The Building Committee now had what was needed to precede to the next step, finding an Architectural firm. The list was narrowed down to three firms after checking references and availability. The Architectural firm Main Street Studio out of Sweetwater was chosen. The process started with: site analysis, asbestos survey, etc. The dream began taking shape as we worked with the architects. We saw our needs and wishes come to life on paper. As any group has done before us, our wishes where much more than our needs. After many long hours of meeting and tough discussions, the plan was narrowed down to what was really needed and the church could afford. The Building Committee is proud to present you with the new Kingston UMC Life Center.
